A panel of three content experts (e.g. individuals with a Ph.D. in physics) reviewed the assessment items to ensure content accuracy. These reviews took place after the initial drafts of the items were written, after items had gone through iterative revisions based on cognitive interviews, and after the items had been piloted and field tested.
The panel also reviewed the final assessment and judged it to be an adequate measure of the content domain.
