Working with HRI
Research Partner
HRI has more than 35 years of experience conducting STEM education research. For example, HRI conducts the National Survey of Science and Mathematics Education, periodically surveying more than 6,000 teachers in nationally representative samples of 1,000 or more schools. In addition to studies involving survey design and analysis, HRI has experience conducting research through classroom observations and teacher interviews. HRI has contributed to several research studies involving developing and testing curriculum and professional learning materials. Other research focuses on identifying the policies and policy configurations that facilitate and hinder STEM education reform.
HRI staff have expertise in advanced statistical techniques, as well as qualitative analysis. Additionally, HRI researchers are active in the STEM education research community, presenting our work regularly at conferences and in journals of organizations such as ASTE, AMTE, NARST, NCTM, and SIGCSE.
