Organization(s): BSCS Science Learning, University of California (UC) Davis
Funding agency: National Science Foundation
Program: DR K–12
HRI Role: Evaluation

Project Description
The Extending and Investigating the Impact of the High School Model-Based Educational Resource (MBER) project is a collaborative research study with Biological Sciences Curriculum Study (BSCS) Science Learning and University of California (UC) Davis as co-lead partners. Prior to this project, researchers at UC Davis developed the MBER biology curriculum with funding from the National Science Foundation (Grant no. 1348990) and have been supporting teachers in its use for the last three years. The goals of the current project are to (1) revise MBER to incorporate Earth science content and (2) study the efficacy of the curriculum. UC Davis is leading the revisions while BSCS is coordinating the efficacy study.
