  • Jessica A. Dula, Lead Researcher at Horizon Research, Inc. (HRI), received her Bachelor’s Degree in Middle Grades Mathematics Education from Florida State University. Prior to joining HRI in 2016, she taught seventh grade mathematics in Chapel Hill, NC and sixth through ninth grade mathematics in Tallahassee, FL.

    Mrs. Dula has worked on several research projects since joining HRI, including All Included in Mathematics (AIM), Peers Engaged as Resources in Learning (PEARL), Mathematics Immersion for Secondary teachers (MIST), and the 2018 National Survey of Science and Mathematics (NSSME+). She has been involved with several evaluation projects, including Investigating Productive Use of High-Leverage Student Mathematical Thinking (BMOST), Synchronous Online Professional Learning Experiences for Middle Grades Mathematics Teachers in Rural Contexts (SyncOn), Visual Access to Mathematics (VAM), PlantingScience: Digging Deeper Together – A Model for Collaborative Teacher/Scientist Professional Development (DIG), and Systematic Transformation of Education Through Evidence-Based Reforms (STEER).
